Ciao Bella’s Helping Hands is a community service project focused on improving the lives, self confidence and self worth of any uninsured individual who has suffered a disfiguring illness, surgery, accident or congenital problem related to a birth defect.
Once a month, the staff from Ciao Bella Medical Spa and Vein Clinic will select a recipient in need – someone who could not otherwise afford reconstructive surgery. Dr. Edgardo Zavala-Alarcon and Dr. Carlos Mata will perform a completely complimentary procedure with the sole intent to positively alter the recipient’s quality of life.
MISSION
Since opening Ciao Bella Medical Spa & Vein Clinic in 2007, Dr. Edgardo Zavala-Alarcon has been committed to help his patients achieve the look they desire to improve their quality of life and self esteem.
Ciao Bella’s Helping Hands is an extension of that ongoing mission and passion offered pro bono to any individual who can benefit from a plastic and reconstructive surgery, but never dreamed it was within their reach due to financial hardship.
Ciao Bella’s Helping Hands is led by Dr. Gonzalez, an outstanding, skilled Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, who has spent his entire career volunteering his services for the betterment of those most in need. Dr. Gonzalez has an extensive background on Aesthetic surgery for both adults and children.
ELIGIBILITY
Ciao Bella’s Helping Hands will provide surgical procedures to the body, face or hands to improve aesthetic and functional outcome. The program is open to anyone with a medical need, however, candidates must be 15 years of age or older and able to tolerate local anesthesia, as well as moderate sedation.
Ciao Bella Medical Spa and Vein Clinic will accept self nominations and patient referrals. An application must be submitted via email at CiaoBellaHelpingHands@gmail.com or in person at our facility. Please include a brief essay detailing medical condition, need for a reconstructive procedure and financial hardship. Photos must be submitted along with the application.
